Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative with a minimum of 5 years Building Material Experience to join our dynamic sales team. Pac-Rim Building Supply is a fast-paced, growing provider of residential and commercial building materials to contractors in Alaska. We offer a complete line of building materials from the ground up through interior finishes and manage the logistics to ship those materials to the jobsite. We are looking to hire a detail-oriented, customer-centric Inside Sales Representative to develop new business and grow sales and well as take over an existing book of business after 2 years!

Duties
- Conduct outbound calling to prospective clients to generate leads and set appointments.
- Utilize CRM to track interactions, manage customer relationships, and maintain accurate records.
- Qualify sales opportunities and manage workload to maximize sales.
- Fulfill customer quotes promptly by sourcing materials through various vendors.
- Establish cost, weight, cubic volume, and lead-time for shipping to remote locations in Alaska.
- Convert quotes into orders and ensure successful delivery.
- Negotiate terms and close sales with prospective customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Perform warm calling to follow up on leads generated from marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for targeting specific markets.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to help refine product offerings.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to clients.
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Building Materials industry.
- Experience with multiple Building Materials products is preferred.
- Ability to read both commercial and residential plans and specifications is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills to deliver an ideal customer experience.
- Detail-oriented mindset and well-organized, as inaccuracies in Alaska can be costly.
- Experience with Agility DMSi, Bistrack, Pipeline or similar ERP or CRM software is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement in the sales process.
