We are seeking a motivated Mold Set Up Technician Trainee to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in a manufacturing environment, specifically in plastics processing. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship to help you grow into a Mold Set Up Technician capable of contributing to our production goals.

PacTec / LaFrance is a manufacturer of Plastic Injection Molded Electronic Enclosures, Nameplates and other functional decorative products.

We make products for a wide variety of customers and many of our parts can be seen on automobiles, appliances and other equipment.

Our manufacturing facility has been located in Sarasota for over 30 years.

Our parent company, LaFrance Corporation, was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Pennsylvania.

Who We Need

We are seeking an individual who has technical experience or has interest to working with manufacturing processes.

As a Mold Setup Technician you will be responsible for:

• Installing molds in machines
• Setting up support equipment like dryers, mold temperature controllers and conveyors
• Setting up process machine parameters for best output
• Troubleshooting processes when not providing acceptable product
• Driving forklift to move materials
• Instruct machine operators on how to inspect products

What We Need

No experience in molding is required. We will teach you the skills to be successful in this growing field.

Experience preferred:

• Proficiency in using hand tools
• Quality inspection techniques
• Mechanical experience with equipment

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours (4 - 10 hour days)

• Overtime
• Monday to Friday
