Maintenance Level I Technician should understand general safe work practices, the basic principles of mechanical repairs on industrial machinery, basic electrical safe work practices, and be able to perform general and major maintenance repairs on equipment and building.
- 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:00am
- Paid breaks, benefits are available after 60 days & uniforms are provided!
- Pay rate range is between $22.50 - $30.00 per hour based on experience, plus $2.10 shift differential per hour.
- Work safely and be able to identify potential safety concerns both during job duties and during interactions with other departmental employees
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform minor and major repairs of building and equipment
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures while following a prescribed program and schedule
- Fabricate simple items for machine repair and improvement
- Use basic shop tools to perform all necessary repairs, PM and fabrication
- Follow basic outlined inventory control process to ensure critical parts inventories are maintained
- Other related duties as assigned
- General industrial mechanical experience including pneumatics and hydraulics
- General industrial electrical experience including high voltage and 3 phase motors
- Basic understanding of electronic control systems including PLC
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a maintenance environment or some schooling in related fields
- Proficient English, oral and written communication skills (required)
- Basic mathematical skills
- Have understanding of decimals, fractions and the metric system
- Ability to read basic measuring tools (scales, micrometers, gauges)
- Have the ability to work through basic electrical and mechanical issues as they arise
- Basic computer skills (required)

- The environment is consistent with a manufacturing and office atmosphere. Heating is provided in the winter and basic cooling in the summer. Work may be required to be performed outside of the building.
- Work is performed by using both hands and arms while in a standing position, including frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.
- Ability to work in hot/humid or cold environments
- Moderate noise level
- Occasionally works in high areas
