Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts and will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and order pickers, to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with team members to build pallets and organize products for shipping.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the training of new operators as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a distribution center or warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid forklift certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $15.96 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
• Overtime
