Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in operating various types of machinery. This role involves producing precision parts and components, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining equipment. The Machinist will work closely with engineers and other team members to meet production goals and timelines.

Duties

• Operate lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications.
• Utilize bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers to measure and verify dimensions of machined components.
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD designs to produce accurate parts.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in machining processes.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Work with plastics injection molding processes when required.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and other machining tools.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
• Experience with CAD software for design interpretation.
• Familiarity with bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and hand tools.
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding techniques is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.20 - $22.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Overtime

Supplemental Pay:

• Overtime pay

• Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)
