Position: Survey Technician
Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Duration: Full time
Summary:
- The ideal candidate will prepare various types of survey plats and maps, such as boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and utility route surveys, ensuring compliance with agencies' requirements like VDOT, USACE, and NAVFAC.
- Work assignments will vary based on the office’s needs and will be communicated by the office manager. Responsibilities also include managing individual projects, conducting courthouse research, processing data collected by survey crews, preparing CAD files, performing construction staking calculations, and occasionally participating in fieldwork.
- The candidate should be capable of working independently to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- At least 5 years of surveying-related experience (a Survey/CAD-related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school, or military training may substitute for two years of experience).
- Proficiency in using Carlson and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with MicroStation, including GeoPak and/or OpenRoads.
