Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for a Material Handling Intern to add to our Material Handling department in Denton, Texas.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to :
- Dock Utilization Study
- Evaluate the Use of the Docks today
- Consider the best use of Docks for the Plant Expansion
- Develop a proposal to schedule loads and spread deliveries for better dock efficiencies
- Optimized Freight Deliveries
- Evaluate Incoming Loads for maximum utilization
- Look for opportunities to consolidate or reduce the frequency of shipments to fill out trailers
- DPU Reduction
- Review Data
- Identify Opportunities
- Provide Recommendations
- Plan for Every Part - Assist the Team with Developing Plans for Project Implementations
