Requisition Summary
PACCAR Engine Company has an immediate opening for a Traffic Coordinator Intern in Columbus, MS.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Must be self-motivated, well-organized, flexible, and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation with a high sense of urgency.
- Schedule, expedite, and monitor shipments for inbound and outbound material.
- Maintain record retention according to PACCAR Company Policy.
- Prepare export shipments within the SAP
- Maintain accurate tracking information / reporting
- Ability to make balanced business decisions with regard to freight routing.
- Communicates with freight carriers to coordinate shipping lanes and activities.
- Files freight claims for loss or damage with carriers
- Evaluates carrier routes and alternative carriers as needed.
- HazMat trained and shipment document preparation
- Periodic travel for training is required.
- Preparation and submission of Customs Export Documents
- Ability to work a flexible schedule – hours may vary on occasion in order to support production requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
