CORPORATE EHS ANALYST - ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
SUMMARY :
Responsible for driving hazardous waste management optimization across the network, which involves familiarity with RCRA regulations, understanding of disposal processes, and the ability to work with hazardous waste contractors to establish the most cost-effective, sustainable methods available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Establish best practice processes and optimal characterization for each waste stream and by each method, across the Pace network.
- Work with waste management vendors to ensure disposal methods maximize sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
- Work with operations to determine most cost-effective methods to dispose of each waste stream.
- Provide support to staff and management regarding EHS policies, programs and practices.
- Conducts inspections of waste containers and accumulation areas; coordinates with hazardous waste contractors.
- Facilitates training and meetings on environmental management policies, programs and practices.
- Reviews, completes and processes various types of logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
- Provides various support researching issues and developing recommendations to resolve employee, management and related customer issues.
- Assists in the review and implementation of EHS policies, practices and programs to meet organizational, operations and management needs.
- Assists with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; receives guidance and direction or escalates when required.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
- Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of environmental, health and related safety, operations, or related experience; Associates degree preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations :
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
