Job Description:
Cloud: Azure
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in Migrations from on-premises to Azure IAAS and PAAS servers
- Experience into Availability Group(s) and Data Sync, Purging and Archiving solutions in the Azure model databases.
- Deploy, Configure, Maintain Compute on Azure IAAS and PAAS servers
- Troubleshoot Azure related issues and engage internal teams and vendor issue resolutions
- Automate deployment and troubleshoot mechanisms for quick service and Import and Export data within Azure Cloud environment. Create and configure Logical SQL servers, databases, elastic pools in Azure Cloud.
- Monitor performance and setup alerts to avoid performance issues occurring on Azure databases.
- Create the Instance as per requirement by using Manual or Automated method
- Modify the resources of instances like CPU, RAM or Disk as per user requirement or optimize it from monthly resources Trend report.
- Installation of Software with coordination with Application and other stakeholder.
- Assist Security Team for Antivirus software installation on all instances and work with them in case of security incidents.
- Schedule backup of Instances or its volumes as per organization backup policy.
- Create the Block Volumes or File Storage as per user requirement.
- Installing and Configuring SQL Server 2000,2005, 2008 & 2012/2014/2016/2017(64\32 bit) on Stand-alone and Microsoft Clustered servers and Applying latest Service Packs and service packs to keep the database at current patch level.
- Hands on experience in high availability solutions including SQL server clustering (Active-Active, Active-Passive), replication models, Always on Availability group (AAG) and DR solutions across multiple SQL versions.
- Experience in Microsoft Clustering, Capacity planning, Performance Tuning, Disaster Recovery, Troubleshooting, Backup and Restore Procedures and implementing projects on time.
- Developed and successfully implemented High-Availability solutions on MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012/14/17 by using Clusters (active/active and active/passive), Log Shipping and Database Mirroring.
- Work with PowerShell for performance enhancement and security audits.
- Experience in PowerShell to manage SQL server databases for high availability.
- Experience in using batch scripts on windows and schedule jobs in SQL server using PowerShell.
