Job Overview
Pace Engineering, Inc. is a manufacturer of wear components for the earthmoving, mining, and construction industries located in Willoughby, OH. We have an immediate opening for an industrial Maintenance Technician on day shift.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing CNC and manual machines, mobile equipment, and general plant industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards, industrial procedures, and complying with appropriate regulations/codes.
- Support the maintenance and production departments to safely ensure maximum production uptime with minimal unplanned downtime.
- Perform safe and proper troubleshooting and maintenance techniques for electro-mechanical equipment and an industrial facility.
- Maintain CNC machines, manual machining tools, heat treatment equipment, mobile equipment, and the facilities/grounds by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and facility problems for root cause. Creatively resolve problems and repair as quickly as possible in a cost effective and with long term perspective.
- Improve equipment functionality and reliability by studying performance, recommending a course of action, and then implementing necessary actions.
- Work cooperatively with and direct outside technical vendors to repair, upgrade, and resolve equipment and facility problems as necessary.
- Update job knowledge through self-study, reading technical publications, interactions with vendors, and participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and low voltage applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics.
- Experience working with logic controllers is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Certification or training as an industrial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical acumen including continuous standing, repeatedly lifting up to 40 pounds, walking throughout a 3-acre site, and working in non-climate controlled areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
