What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Manager position at Pace Industries, LLC?
The Paint Manager will supervise all aspects of the painting and powder coating operation including paint selection, solvents, color match, paint vault, productivity and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Interview and select prospective painters and powder coaters.
- Supervise painters and powder coaters; evaluate quantity, quality, cost and general attitudes.
- Guide and direct painters regarding solvent selection, reducer selection, mix ratio, color match, texture, application techniques, viscosity, thickness, and gloss.
- Oversee general painting operations including filter selection, filter life, housekeeping, and safety.
- Diagnose the causes of painting and powder coating problems and take corrective action.
- Monitor the handling of hazardous waste, waste ink, dirty solvent, and spills.
- Direct the issuance of paint, powder, and solvents from the paint vault. Supervise the material handlers.
- Continually police operating techniques to insure compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Four years painting supervision
- Four years painting operator
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Organized
- Strong leadership skills
