Summary

The Paint Manager will supervise all aspects of the painting and powder coating operation including paint selection, solvents, color match, paint vault, productivity and quality control.

Job Functions

• Interview and select prospective painters and powder coaters.
• Supervise painters and powder coaters; evaluate quantity, quality, cost and general attitudes.
• Guide and direct painters regarding solvent selection, reducer selection, mix ratio, color match, texture, application techniques, viscosity, thickness, and gloss.
• Oversee general painting operations including filter selection, filter life, housekeeping, and safety.
• Diagnose the causes of painting and powder coating problems and take corrective action.
• Monitor the handling of hazardous waste, waste ink, dirty solvent, and spills.
• Direct the issuance of paint, powder, and solvents from the paint vault. Supervise the material handlers.
• Continually police operating techniques to insure compliance with safety standards.

• Four years painting supervision
