Summary
As a member of the PACE Health & Safety Team, this position will support the implementation of Health & Safety Management System and Environmental Management system to ensure regulatory and safety compliance primarily at the plant level. Duties will encompass a variety of EHS areas.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to :
- Promote a zero culture throughout the site.
- Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by Pace Industries.
- Determine priorities for safety and health investigations in work areas and make assignments accordingly.
- Develop and recommend Job Safety Analyses to prevent worker illness or injury.
- Ensure that inspections and job safety analyses are conducted and that corrective actions are identified and implemented.
- Facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Work with the leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
- Oversee site training development and delivery.
- Coordinate the investigation of accidents and near misses and ensure that causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate Workers' Compensation claim activities.
- Contribute to the design of new processes or installations where hazardous materials will be used or hazardous processes will be located.
- Maintain current knowledge on OSHA, RCRA, SARA, CWA and CAA along with other Federal, State and local regulations.
- Develop and submit regular environmental reports required by the State, EPA and other regulatory agencies.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
