The Commercial Growth Representative is responsible for handling assigned Pace Analytical Services Accounts, financial targets for those accounts, and in-bound leads.
Essential Functions
- Focuses on maintaining revenue from existing assigned accounts to ensure that the clients in the maintenance classification are well cared for and therefore reducing attrition.
- Generates new revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing Pace's maintenance and strategic accounts.
- Assesses/qualifies inbound leads generated from the website and marketing programs and potentially wins new business for the company.
- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
- Creates new accounts/contacts from inbound programs and outbound research.
- Follows a robust standard operation procedure to log all customer interactions.
- Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in environmental services/laboratory operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Knowledge:
- Intermediate to complex principles, practices, and techniques of sales effectiveness.
- Various understanding of the administration and oversight of sales programs, policies, and procedures.
- Technical understanding of Pace's products and services.
- Intermediate to complex methods to resolve sales and customer problems, questions, and concerns.
- Various understanding of applicable sales laws, codes, and regulations.
- Understanding of various testing tools, equipment, and processing.
- Computer applications and systems related to the work.
- Principles and practices to serving as an effective project team member.
- Methods to communicate with staff, coworkers, and customers to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate operations.
- Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Performing intermediate to complex professional-level sales duties in a variety of assigned areas and meeting goals as set by the sales leader.
- Overseeing and administering various sales functions.
- Moving prospective customers to close of sale.
- Building and maintaining customer relationships.
