Staff Accountant
Duluth, GA- Onsite (there is no options for remote or hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure
- Month end close and daily/monthly posting of journal entries
- Determine required accruals
- Provide detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Daily and monthly cash reconciliations
- Support payroll function when needed.
- Responsible for fixed asset tracking and inventory analysis
- Review AP and AR transactions for accuracy
- Help prepare reporting packages, reports and other analysis as requested
- Analyze financial results and compare to budget and prior periods
- Performs other duties as required
Key Skills:
- Values personal integrity and maintains high ethical standards
- BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in accounting
- Ability for occasional travel to support projects at branch locations
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Four to six years prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area
- Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
