Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Experience with return to sport or active lifestyle population
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
