Under direct supervision of the Program Manager. Provide respect, support, learning, and employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities in a positive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide training, assistance and supervision to Instructors/Teachers in completion of daily work, e.g., data sheets, daily notes, TA’s, VTS, Behavior Calendars and staff timesheets, etc. Follow timelines regarding completion of all paperwork. Provide resources and materials for the staff.
- Monitor individual support plans for individuals, e.g., IPCSP’s, field charts, behavior calendars, medication and care plans, etc. Provide supervisor with information regarding incomplete documentation of support plans. Ensure objectives are being implemented. Provide classes when needed. Implement IPCSP’s, TA’s, individual care and Behavior Plans when necessary.
- Schedule and facilitate Person Center Planning, My Plan with case responsible person. Develops and completes IPCSP’s, TA’s, AIR’s, and SIR’s within required timelines.
- Research, plan, schedule, implement and supervise all program activities, e.g., staff/individual groupings, job site coverage, transportation, curriculum development, daily activities, special events, extracurricular activities, field trips, etc.
- In the absence of the Program Manager/Coordinator, is responsible for the supervision and overall safety of the program site.
- Assist Program Manager with scheduling of staff trainings, e.g., mandatory trainings, reports from Pace OT, Nurse, Behavior Specialist and other consultants, etc.
- Maintain position communication with individuals who attend program, home-providers, supervisors, co-workers, referral agencies and community at large. Disseminate appropriate information to site management.
- Attend mandatory trainings, staff meetings and staff trainings that may occur after your typical scheduled work hours.
- Report all suspected abuse in accordance with Mandated Reporter regulations and procedures.
- Display professional and respectful attitude towards individuals, co-workers, supervisors and assignments.
- Ability to lift/transfer/push/pull/bend/turn/pivot up to 38 lbs. occasionally while assisting individuals including those in wheelchairs as a support in daily program activities and personal care needs.
- Ability to sustain a forward bend occasionally while assisting individuals in assembly tasks, table top activities and eating lunch.
- Follow safety procedures on an ongoing basis.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Salary/Hours: $18.50 an hour, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week

Requirements
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a human services delivery system
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment test which includes grammar, spelling, and math (70% or better overall)
- Must pass employer paid physical which includes physical, T.B. test or chest x-ray, blood alcohol test (BAT), drug screen and pre-work screen (back evaluation). Hepatitis B vaccinations (optional)
- DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
- Valid CA driver’s license, proof of insurance for a car that will be used during time as needed and acceptable DMV printout
