Job Description :
Under the direction of the Division Manager, or designate, performs receptionist duties, and administrative functions, serves as cash and check receipts custodian Maintains appropriate paperwork for administrative attendance.
Answers telephones, fields calls, greets public visitors and directs inquiries Performs secretarial duties, general correspondence and upkeep of files Performs reporting of monthly activities for position and division.
Provides administrative support for Transportation, Maintenance and Safety Sections. Assists and backs up Dial-A-Ride / Paratransit Dispatch Assists and backs up Payroll functions and tracking of operator pay hours.
Performs receiving of uniform items on Oracle System and tracks backorder uniform items. Backup to and provides coverage to Terminal Clerks.
Qualifications :
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience as a switchboard operator / receptionist in a high public contact office, including payroll practices and cash and check receipts experience or equivalent, experience on a switchboard phone system is preferred.
Must have a good work history including attendance. Must be adept at using general office equipment including copiers, scanners, printers, and calculators.
Must have computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Word. Must possess and demonstrate good organizational and communication skills, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to exercise sound, independent judgment while always maintaining confidentiality.
Must have a positive attitude and be customer oriented. Must be patient, be a good listener, be organized and be able to successfully multitask.
