What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Art Director position at Pace?
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Senior Art Director, you’ll work with a talented team of writers, strategists and user experience designers to produce high-impact creative treatments. You’ll need a deep understanding of experiential design, strong visual storytelling abilities, and the agility to tailor your creative approach to each project’s unique needs.

- North Carolina - Please note, employees living within 50 miles of Pace HQ will be expected to comply with our hybrid policy (In office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays). Employees living between 50-100 miles of Pace HQ are required to come into the office once a month.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Concept and develop big ideas for websites, and digital marketing products, such as social media posts, banner ads, presentations, and videos
- Direct and execute illustrations, photo shoots and video shoots, with in-house and external production staff
- Maintain a sharp focus on visual craft and attention to detail
- Lead projects with autonomy, driving art direction, design, and conceptual ideas from start to finish
- Create work that both adheres to and expresses the client’s brand
- Present concepts clearly and persuasively, building consensus within the team and with clients
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, developers, strategists, and product managers within a cross-functional team
- Take initiative and lead projects independently, demonstrating proactive problem-solving
- Actively participate in brainstorming and ideation
- Manage and direct freelancers
- Act as a mentor to junior creatives and share ideas and best practices with peers across the organization
- Actively collaborate with project teams using project management software

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
BFA in Graphic Design or related degree
Experience:
5-7 years in a design related field; agency experience preferred
Skills:
- Experience in digital design and web design. Digital product and application design a plus.
- Ability to construct lo-fidelity digital wireframes, and turn wireframes into fully realized digital creative
- Experience directing photo and video shoots
- Basic proficiency in motion animation design
- An understanding and knowledge of the interactive design process, video/photo shoot process (including the three-bid process) and necessary steps for managing creative with outside vendors
- Ability to leverage digital design systems. Design system management a plus.
- Ability to present work and articulate 'the strategic why' behind the creative solutions
- Ability to self-manage time and meet expected deadlines, completing work on time and within the hours allocated
- Proficient in: Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of the CMS systems and workflow tools
- Knowledge of the print production process
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision

WHAT WE OFFER:
- The salary for this position will range from $55,400 - $72,000 ($74,790-$97,200 for NYC and surrounding areas) depending on experience, education, geographical location, and other factors.
