Interior Design Selections Coordinator

Job Summary

As a Selections Coordinator, you will be the bridge between architects, designers, and clients, ensuring that every detail — from flooring to fixtures — reflects the vision while staying on track with budget and timelines. Key Responsibilities:

• Material Selection: You'll work closely with architects and designers to help clients choose the perfect materials, finishes, and fixtures that align with the overall design vision. Your keen eye for design will ensure selections meet aesthetic goals, sustainability standards, and budget constraints.
• Client Experience: You'll guide clients through showroom visits, helping them make confident, informed decisions about their selections. Your customer service skills will ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
• Selections Documentation & Management: You’ll be responsible for tracking all material selections to ensure smooth transitions throughout the construction phases using our intuitive Buildertrend system.
• Vendor Relations: Acting as the liaison between vendors and our team, you’ll confirm availability, pricing, and lead times for materials while managing any issues that arise during the selection process.
• Budget & Change Management: Partnering with project managers, you’ll keep selections on track with the project budget and timelines. You’ll ensure smooth updates to selections and communicate any necessary changes to clients and the team, ensuring everything stays aligned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Design Sense: A strong aesthetic sense with an understanding of design trends, color theory, and material application. You’re someone who naturally keeps up with the latest design trends and has a passion for translating ideas into beautiful spaces.
• Product Knowledge: Experience with interior design products, including flooring, cabinetry, lighting, hardware, fixtures, and finishes. You should be familiar with how these materials work together to create cohesive designs.
• Communication Skills: You're an excellent communicator who can translate complex ideas into clear, actionable steps for clients and team members alike. Your ability to work closely with clients and guide them through selections is key to the role.

Relevant Experience:

• A degree in interior design or previous experience.
• Familiar with the construction process and how design selections integrate with overall building systems.
• Experience working with vendors and managing supplier relationships.
