SUMMARY : The Medical Assistant in the Department of Medicine (DOM) Float Pool plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care across multiple locations, including University City, Radnor, Cherry Hill, and others . This full-time, day-shift position (Monday Friday) requires reliable transportation , adaptability, and strong clinical skills to support various specialties as needed. Responsibilities include performing vital signs, EKGs, point-of-care testing, immunizations, and injections , assisting providers with patient exams and procedures , maintaining accurate medical records and documentation , ensuring exam rooms are properly stocked and sanitized , and providing patient education on medications and treatments. The ideal candidate must be able to work in diverse clinical settings , demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills , and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient flow.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE : EPIC experience preferable
INTERVIEW DETIALS : Virtual on camera via TEAMS
TRAINING : 4 hour PennChart training form 8am-1pm on Fridays. Specific date will be determined after award offer and acceptance.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS :
- Submit candidates with the Submission cover form and resume in 1 document . RTO must be listed on submission cover form for consideration.
- Screening questions : Is the candidate a former Penn Medicine employee and if so, work dates, position, and reason for leaving? Can candidate commute to practice / reliable transportation? Is the candidate actively working with other agencies and if so, have they already been submitted to the same role by another agency?
- After Award Acceptance - COA must be uploaded within 48 hours of the award being accepted. Candidate profile in B4Health must be accurate (name, email, phone number, DOB and last 4 of SS#.)
COMPLIANCE : Due on the Wednesday before the start date. Make sure your candidate is ready to start the compliance process immediately upon accepting the award. Medicals and drug screens must be started within 72 hours of accepting the award. Candidates who do not start this requirement within 72 hours are at risk of being cancelled.
