Job Description :
You will work directly within the R&D department to perform sustaining engineering and product improvement activities as well as contributing towards the development of our next generation of sensor products. This is a unique engineering role that requires working cross-functionally with all aspects of product sustaining and development engineering, product test, manufacturing engineering and supply chain.
Liquid Analysis : We design and develop digital sensors and instrumentation for continuous measurement of water chemistry parameters such as pH, conductivity, and oxygen concentration in a wide range of industries including biopharmaceuticals, chemicals, and municipal water treatment.
Gas Detection : We design, develop, and manufacture products to provide the most comprehensive and advanced gas detection systems available. Our integrated gas monitoring systems are designed to excel under the toughest conditions to help streamline day-to-day operations and, more importantly, keep people safe.
Responsibilities :
Develop in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to the design and development of Analytical Instruments products.
Directly support sustaining, design and development electrical engineering activities within cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and test engineering groups.
Utilize electrical design and development tools used in capturing circuit design schematics, laying out printed circuit boards, and performing circuit simulations.
Provide sustaining support for designs that include analog circuits that interface with sensors, AC / DC power supplies, and communication circuits (e.g. Modbus, 4 / 20mA HART, Fieldbus)
Perform electronics Design Verification Testing (DVT) activities and provide evidence to engineering peers that designs meet or exceed specification requirements and customers’ needs.
Perform statistical analysis of laboratory test results and report findings to engineering peers.
Troubleshoot systems and electronic circuits to a functional block or component level.
Periodically support global electronics circuit card manufacturing and global product manufacturing by improving product designs, streamlining manufacturing processes, reducing manufacturing costs, and improving quality.
Required Skills :
1800 hours of technical education or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Competency with standard engineering laboratory equipment, tools, and instruments (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, digital voltmeter…)
Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred Skills :
Microcontroller based instrumentation design
Analog design of industrial measurement equipment (measurement principles / implementations)
Communication protocols (Modbus RS-485, HART, Fieldbus, Profibus, etc.)
