Plant Cost and Asset Controller
This is a unique opportunity to work with enriching contact between Manufacturing and Finance.
The Plant Cost and Asset Controller is responsible for delivering and facilitating a detailed analysis of site costs, which means all aspects of understanding and improving the cost management practices at the manufacturing site or the profit center level, and support site management to control on-site inventory, assets, and spare parts.
The goals will be achieved via a combination of delivering detailed cost reporting, preparing recurring and ad-hoc site-level data analysis, developing asset, inventory, and consumable spare-parts management discipline, and supporting site management to identify opportunities to ultimately eliminate inefficiencies throughout all aspects of the manufacturing sites.
The Plant Cost and Asset Controller will also ensure that costs are appropriately classified and reported accurately, enabling the Operations Control team, Financial Reporting team, Planning, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to help develop and analyze costs, assets, and investments to support the site's ambitions.
Costs and Inventory Analysis:
- Enable site leaders to analyze the evolution of monthly costs, including determination of trends, and assist in maintaining costs within budget assigned by operations control.
- Facilitate the efficiency program at site level to enable site management to achieve the cost optimization objectives set by Site Management and Ops Control.
- Ensure the performance of cycle counts, and the biannual physical count by site personnel in accordance with Internal Controls criteria, under the supervision of Entity Finance.
- Provide monthly inventory, mobile asset, and consumable spare-parts consumption analysis with extensive explanations on any deviations to entity Finance and Ops Control managers in close collaboration with the team on site.
- Implement robust, standardized processes to manage and oversee spare parts consumption.
- Support site management, Ops Control, and the Investment Director to enable the review of the realization of expected benefits for investments on-site.
- Review exception reports from SAP and enable site management to maintain the quality of data and reliability of information streams in a satisfactory level.
- Enable Ops Control to monitor profitability of ALAM products at site level.
- Assist entity finance manager to ensure accurate cost allocation across cost centers while assessing variances.
- Lead the development of reporting metrics, tools, and carry out complex Ad hoc analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelors in Finance: Demonstrated capability in cost analysis and 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or Bachelors in Engineering: With 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrated aptitude for financial analysis.
- Experience with SAP is required.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Experience partnering with site leadership, willing to engage people from all levels to increase cost awareness of the site.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Autonomous and able to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
