Job Title: Senior Failure Analysis Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to support return material authorization (RMA) processes and address internal/external customer issues related to power supply systems. This role involves hands-on debugging, fault isolation, defect analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct system-level and power supply failure analysis to support RMA and customer returns.
- Perform debugging and functional verification of AC/DC switching power supplies using various topologies.
- Execute fault isolation and root cause analysis on power ICs, analog, and mixed-signal devices.
- Analyze failures from reliability and production testing, as well as customer-reported field issues.
- Deliver comprehensive technical reports detailing investigation findings and resolutions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for sales and customer teams in resolving quality-related problems.
- Collaborate with customers in China and Taiwan to ensure prompt and satisfactory problem resolution.
- Maintain effective verbal and written communication with internal teams and external customers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in failure analysis at a semiconductor company.
- Strong background in analyzing power semiconductors, analog, and mixed-signal ICs.
- Hands-on experience with switch-mode power supply (SMPS) applications.
- Proficient in interpreting system-level and IC-level schematics and layouts (CMOS and bipolar).
- Fluency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
- Excellent command of English, especially in technical communication and report writing.
