PACES operates all dinning locations and The College Store on campus. Basic Overview:
Dining Service workers prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with current state and federal industry food handling safety standards. They provide excellent customer service and are responsible for stocking and maintaining their work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
Qualifications:
· Food service experience with knowledge of NYS food handling safety practices preferred (Serve Safe Certification is a plus)
General Job Duties:
- Courteously greets and interacts with customers
- Accurately operates cash register
- Reads and follows recipes and cooking instructions
- Prepares, cooks, and serves food to order or as directed
- Safely operates, cleans, and sanitizes kitchen equipment and utensils
- Sets up, restocks, and maintains workstations/dining areas in clean, orderly, and safe manner
- Ensures all areas are free from safety hazards (i.e., spills) and immediately notifies supervisor of all accidents, injuries, and safety concerns
- Complies with all company and SUNY Potsdam policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
