Maintenance Mechanic

Pacesetter Personnel Services is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Houston, TX 77055.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assessing the safety requirements before starting any repair.
• Repairs, replacement, and installation for mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and building mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Responsible for completing services in a timely manner with high quality.
• Responsive to the needs of the customer, through coordination with the production supervisors to minimize disruption to the operation.
• Documentation of activities in the maintenance work order system and repair logs.
• Maintenance team members may be responsible for starting up and shutting down equipment and or securing parts of the facility for end of day.
• Learn the operation of all equipment and how to service it safely and quickly.

Requirements:

• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technician role in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLC, and motor controls, and read pipe and wire schematics
• Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Required PPE: Steel-toe shoes, eye protection, other PPE as required by the nature of the equipment being serviced

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Weekends as needed.

Pay: $24.00 to 30.00 an hour. We pay weekly.
