What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Teacher (HS) position at Pacific Academy Encinitas?
Pacific Academy is a nonsectarian, fully accredited, coeducational, college-preparatory private school dedicated to nurturing our students’ unique abilities. We achieve this through small classes, individualized learning options, frequent advisement meetings, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary teaching.
We seek to hire an enthusiastic and qualified MS/HS Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
Candidates for the position are required to have the following:
- Multiple Subject Teaching Credential OR
- B.A./B.S. in related field
- Proficient, orally and in writing, in both English and Spanish
- Proficient in ASL or other languages (preferred but not required)
- References
- Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject matter
- Experience teaching high school and/or middle school students
- Willingness to participate in school life and activities
- Flexible and resourceful
- Teach MS/HS Spanish Levels 1-4 and one AP Spanish Course
Contingent upon hiring: (not at the time of applying)
- Completion of/ Willingness to complete Livescan background check
- Tuberculosis documentation within the recent four years
- Ability to teach in person at our Encinitas Campus (San Diego County).
Salary Range
- $52,060 to $56,359, or better offer commensurate with experience
- AP Stipends will be awarded if AP Classes become part of the class schedule
- 10-month offer letter
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 am to 3:45 pm
- The teacher will teach five classes
- Start Date- August 04, 2025, to June 05, 2026
