PacAero’s core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.

The Position:

An individual in this position will learn to manufacture ceramic preforms using proprietary materials per training and work instruction through on-the-job training. This job requires extreme attention to detail. Operators spend a large portion of their day on their feet checking samples and manually adjusting the presses. This is a highly skilled position that requires extensive training. This position is specific to day shift operation of the Pentronix Press. Work load permitting, the operator may also be trained on other press equipment or to complete other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be willing to take on challenging new tasks when needed
  • You are required to work cooperatively and effectively with all employees
  • Be reliable and able to work with minimal supervision
  • You are required to participate in the Lead Hygiene Program, including regular blood testing
  • Set up and swap out tooling sets
  • Have excellent manual dexterity for making careful adjustments by touch
  • Collect, measure and log frequent and regular samples and make adjustments as necessary based on logged information
  • Exercise proper handling of powders and other materials
  • Be willing to be cross trained in powder sifting and sorting

Education and/or Experience

  • High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED Equivalent)
  • Zero to 1 year of related work experience

Essential

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before managers, supervisors or employees of organization.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Work with Micro Soft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Be regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, and to be able to properly follow and use safety controls to during the course of the workday.
  • The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate, but constant.
  • Seek out duties to ensure you are consistently productive.
