JOB TITLE: Sales Representative Parts & Tillage REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
EXEMPT: Yes DEPARTMENT: PAR
SUMMARY: Uses independent judgment to oversee all aspects of sales and customer service at assigned territory. Ensures excellent customer service through the timely and accurate delivery of services, including delivery of orders and the management of price negotiations and quotes. Resolves customer issues, referring them to the Branch Manager, then Sales Manager, when appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operations:
- Use Company provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow up and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner. Use of the system should contribute directly to the proposal process, winning the sale, sales volume, territory awareness, participation, and customer satisfaction
- Effectively understand and use manufacturers programs and resources to attain acceptable market share levels
- Sell whole goods, parts, and service as a customer solution and build long term relationships within their territory to maximize customer and company profitability
- Develop a keen awareness of the competition and competitive products, as well as business and industry trends
Customer Service:
- Processes customer orders and quotes, resolves negotiations and issues
- Monitors fulfillment of orders to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Assures the customer orders are application correct or replaced quickly in the event of a breakdown or other problem Coordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations as well as operate machinery at customer work site
- Maintain proficiency in machine and implement applications that are applicable to the customer base
- Work in conjunction with Branch Manager, then Sales Manager, responsible for follow up and expediting of orders
- Accountable for timely follow up on each sale to ensure customer satisfaction
- Coordinate and/or communicate with customers and applicable departments to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate pickup and delivery of orders as needed from suppliers and/or customer locations

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar work environment with a proven track record of effective decision-making and excellent people management skills
- Solid understanding of local market conditions
- Knowledge of resale values of particular machinery a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
Computer Skills:
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
Language Skills:
- Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

- Work time is split between the office, shop and yard in a variety of weather
- Regular time is spent on the computer and phone
