PACE is searching for a School Curriculum and Training Coordinator to lead our curriculum and learning initiatives at PACE School. A key aspect of the role is to maintain the quality and effectiveness of the PACE program through ongoing staff training and curriculum knowledge. Another primary responsibility is to educate and mentor the school staff in developing the appropriate learned knowledge and applying those skills in the classroom environment.

Requirements
Curriculum Requirements - Responsibility for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of the PACE program through ongoing staff training and curriculum knowledge.
- Autism Knowledge - Maintain leading edge understanding of current developments in autism education and vocational methods and integrate these advancements into the training of classroom teams.
- Classroom Curriculum - Identify and implement the most effective teaching methodologies, course structure and development standards in line with industry best practices and CA state requirements for compliant common-core standard course material and educational objectives as mandated by the CA Education Code and PACE's independent Master Contracts with each school district.
- Fosters instructional program and services improvement through curriculum development and technology integration
- Coordinates the development and monitors the implementation of all course content, skill, knowledge and performance areas, scope and sequence, and articulation of the curriculum.
- Coordinates the development and monitors the implementation of a balanced assessment system.
- Assumes responsibility for the documentation and dissemination of all curricula.
- Guides and collaborates with the staff in the selection of instructional materials and resources, their modification, revision, deletion, organizational pattern and use, including a process for their systematic replacement and updating.
- Lead and collaborate with the staff in the identification, development of, training in and implementation of instructional methods appropriate to the respective curricula they support which are aimed at the continuous improvement of staff skill sets.
Knowledge, Skill And Experience
The School Curriculum and Training Coordinator must possess the following minimum requirements for consideration in this position:
- Education - Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in special education and Clear California Teaching credential is required. Strong competency in English writing and verbal communication.
- Experience - Three or more years working as a Special Education Teacher required. Direct experience in developing and delivering training content required. NPS experience strongly preferred.
- Communication Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including speaking, writing, listening, motivating, inspiring, collaborating and delegating. Self-starter and team player.
- Organizational Skills -- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and follow-up with multiple, simultaneous projects.
- Technical Skills -- Proficiency in understanding education codes and best practice processes. Strong understanding of relevant methodologies and practices for providing direct service education to individuals with Autism or similar developmental disabilities.
$80,000-$95,000 per year
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
