JOIN AN ENERGETIC, CARING AND MOTIVATED TEAM! Pacific Autism Center for Education, PACE , continues to expand its school program and is looking for motivated instructional aides at our campus in Sunnyvale. Our school operates all 12 months of the year, so there is work during summer months. Our Instructional Aides are creative people who want to make a positive impact in the lives of special education students. We provide training for all staff members. You will work with students, often 1 : 1, and will support the teachers and specialists to ensure the students' success. We offer opportunities for growth and development, including a path to becoming a Teacher.
Hours are Monday - Friday 9 : 00am to 3 : 00pm (30 hours per week with benefits)
Job Responsibilities include (but not limited to) :
Assist in implementing student behavior and support plans that allow the student to meet their instructional goals, as well as providing behavior redirection techniques when necessary.
Encourage, engage and support students in the classroom, playground, vocational work and the community to maintain a positive environment that is conducive for learning and cooperation. May assist with toilet training.
Collect data on student progress, based on behavior plans and goals.
Assist students in the development and maintenance of appropriate social behaviors, as well as interactions with others.

Requirements : Qualifications :
High School Diploma (minimum) required. AA / BA degree preferred
Strong written and verbal skills
Experience in special education, education, early childhood development, psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis preferred but not required.
Able to quickly respond and adapt to challenging, fast-paced, dynamic environments.
This is an entry level position with continuous on-the-job training.
After offer, must pass DOJ / FBI Livescan clearance and TB test (PACE covers these clearance costs).
Physical requirements :
The Instructional Aide must be able to lift and or push at least 45lbs with assistance.
Twisting and Turning; Due to the high activity of the program this position requires the individual to be able to physically bend, squat, reach over shoulders, reach over head, reach outward, kneel, sit, walk, run on normal, slippery, or uneven surfaces and stand
The Instructional Aide must be able to follow all Safety Care Procedures when needed.
