The Service Technican Lead will be responsible for leading and organizing the service department for Pacific Bay Equipment, ensuring that repairs on industrial equipment such as pressure washers, steamers, parts washer, floor scrubbers, recycle systems, etc are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This role involves coordinating service technicians, overseeing department operations, and maintaining smooth communication between customers, technicians and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Train and Organize Service Technicians
o Provide training and ongoing support to service technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and company standards.
o Organize work schedules and allocate tasks to technicians, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
2. Oversee Service Department to Ensure Timely Repairs
o Supervise daily service operations to ensure that all repairs and maintenance requests are handled promptly and efficiently.
o Monitor job progress and adjust work priorities as necessary to meet customer deadlines.
3. Collaborate with Operations Manager
o Work closely with the Operations Manager to facilitate effective communication between the service team, customer service, the parts department, and administrative staff.
o Coordinate cross-department activities to streamline processes and resolve any service-related issues.
4. Communicate with Customers
o Interact directly with customers to inform them of the status of repairs, provide updates, and explain necessary services.
o Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction by coordinating quick resolutions.
5. Maintain Shop Organization
o Keep the service shop organized, ensuring that tools, equipment, and parts are properly stored and easily accessible.
o Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning workspace.
6. Ensure Repairs are Completed in Order Received
o Ensure repairs are completed in the order in which they are received and prioritize urgent jobs as needed.
o Track the completion of all repairs to ensure customer expectations and deadlines are met.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Excellent Communication Skills
o Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, technicians, and other departments.
· Strong Organizational Skills
o Ability to organize tasks, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
· Excellent Computer Skills
o Proficiency with service management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
o Ability to quickly learn new software tools and systems as needed.
· Technical Background
o Previous technical experience or understanding of industrial cleaning equipment, machinery, or related fields is required.
o Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical guidance to service technicians.
