Location : Roscoe, IL

Job Description : We are seeking an enthusiastic Manufacturing or Product Engineering Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing or product engineering and engineering processes. As an Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to contribute to the development and testing of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Learn about internal manufacturing and business processes and showcase comprehension through completion of a project. (Level 1)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Production, Quality Management and Manufacturing Engineering to modify and develop innovative product / process solutions. (Level 2)
  • Assist in the design and build of manufacturing processes, including creating CAD models, prototyping, part process flow and conducting quality studies.
  • Support product testing and validation activities, including developing test plans, performing calculations, conducting tests, and analyzing results. (Level 2)
  • Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to product / process flow and manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Document and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to product engineering and incorporate them into our product development processes.

Qualifications :

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong academic background with coursework in engineering fundamentals, manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and equipment (e.g., 3D printers, CNC machines) is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hands-on learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Duration :

  • Level 1 : 3 months.
  • Level 2 : 3 months or Co-op if requested.

  • Additional Key Points :

  • Level 1 intern : Defined as 1st year intern either with the company or overall. Introductory projects, with significant oversight.
  • Level 2 intern : Defined as a returning intern that will be taking on a more individualized project. More independence, with a greater focus on job skill development. Can and will extend into part-time or full-time employment throughout the semester of school.
