What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Host position at Pacific Buffet & Grill?
Host/Cashier
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations or inquiries
- Process payments and provide change to guests
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for new guests
Experience:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Strong phone etiquette skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent guest relations skills
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures
- Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Knowledge of food service industry standards and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
