Job Description:
OneOncology, LLC, a leading network of community oncology practices, is seeking a passionate and visionary Executive Director for an extremely successful oncology practice on the Monterey Peninsula. This unique opportunity puts you at the forefront of growing a thriving practice dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care. You will collaborate closely with experienced physicians, leverage the expertise of our extensive OneOncology network, and play a pivotal role in overseeing the addition of several satellite offices, adding additional providers and having an impact on the lives of thousands of cancer patients. As the boots on the ground leader, you will collaborate with the OneOncology corporate team to continue to develop a strategic plan for growth, sustainability and success.
- Manage site development by overseeing the practice build-out and ensure readiness for the opening of the satellites with minimal impact/interruption to patient care.
- Create a great team by recruiting and hiring the satellite staff, developing them to ensure a dedicated and high-performance team environment.
- Cultivate a collaborative culture by fostering strong relationships with physicians, mid-level providers, and staff, promoting a seamless and supportive environment and becoming fully integrated with the rest of the Pacific Cancer Care (PCC) team.
- Drive operational excellence by developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, manage finances effectively, and achieve strong financial performance.
Role Responsibilities Include:
Practice Operations/Administration:
- Monitor and supervise all aspects of the organization, maintaining smooth operations and addressing challenges proactively.
- Drive a culture of integrity and honesty that focuses on quality patient care and a positive patient experience.
- Leverage OneOncology resources to support practice optimization and growth.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
- Assist leadership in streamlining workflows and drive operational excellence, continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee monthly leadership operations meetings, staff meetings and provider meetings, facilitating communication and collaboration.
Physician and Employee Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, fostering collaboration and ensuring their needs are met.
- Recruit, develop, and lead high-functioning team members, providing excellent support to physicians and the practice.
- Complete special projects as designated by Physician Partners, demonstrating initiative and responsiveness to physician needs.
- Cultivate and foster strong and effective working relationships between local teams and OneOncology corporate teams.
Financial Management:
- Develop and adhere to annual budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and achieving financial goals.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze revenue and expense trends, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
- Collaborate with OneOncology financial teams to review and approve insurance contracts, negotiating the best rates and terms for the practice.
- Achieve and maintain strong financial health, positioning the practice for sustainable growth and success.
Business Development and Marketing:
- Spearhead local business development initiatives, expanding the patient base and building strategic partnerships with payors, hospital systems, and referring networks.
- Represent the practice in professional associations, industry forums, and community events to promote awareness and enhance the organization's reputation.
- Develop and implement an effective marketing program, raising awareness of the practice and attracting new patients.
Compliance:
- Ensure regulatory and compliance in accordance with industry standards, protecting patient privacy and ensuring ethical practices.
- Develop and maintain relevant accreditations, demonstrating the practice's commitment to quality care.
Qualifications
- Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Public Health Administration, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, with specific experience in oncology practice administration preferred. Experienced track record of operating effectively in a complex decision-making setting.
- Strong communication and relationship development skills suitable to leading a diverse group of physicians, leaders, team members, and outside partners.
- Minimal travel to OneOncology locations and community oncology events.
Salary Range: $147,862.00 - $220,859.00
