The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and managing a team of accounting professionals. This role is essential in driving financial integrity, improving financial processes, and supporting strategic decision-making within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP.)
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Support the Sr. Director of Finance with ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
