What are the responsibilities and job description for the Naturopathic Physician position at Pacific Clinic of Natural Medicine?
Pacific Clinic of Natural Medicine (PCNM) is a private naturopathic practice located in downtown, Portland. We are seeking a motivated, vitalistic-minded ND to join our team and provide naturopathic medicine to our patients in a team-based environment.
We strive to maintain a healthy and enjoyable work environment, minimizing stress and maximizing efficiency. Business hours are between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday thru Friday and half days on Saturdays, and we are looking for a minimum of 30 hrs per week available to see patients in the office and virtually. Practitioners are able to choose their own schedules. Our practice accepts most health insurance plans. We typically see between 6-15 patients per day with a full(ish) schedule.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams, determining appropriate testing and evaluations, and providing the patient with options for their care with a focus on natural therapeutics and restoration of normal health and function, as well as referring to other local providers when appropriate. The ideal candidate will take an active role in helping market themselves and build their practice with the help of the office and our consistent flow of new patient calls to the office each week.
Qualifications:
- ND Licensed in Oregon and Washington.
- Proficient in basic medical office procedures.
- 1-2 years minimum experience post graduation preferred.
- Familiarity with pediatric care, women's health, men's health, gastroenterology, autoimmune disease, toxicity, nutrient testing, dietary testing and evaluations, nutrition and physical medicine.
- Proficient in naturopathic hydrotherapy treatments.
- Knowledge in basic CPT coding and working with insurances.
- Active malpractice insurance with industry standard coverage.
Compensation is commission-based until a consistent schedule of patients is achieved, at which point options for salary and benefits become available. Salary options can range from $50,000 to $120,000, depending on schedule, availability and revenue generated.
This position also has the opportunity to grow within the business. Long term practitioners are eligible for profit-sharing and eventually partnership in the business. We are interested in finding long term providers who want to work together to build a successful practice as a team.
