SUMMARY:
The Sales Executive will focus on new business opportunities and revisit customers we haven’t worked with in some time; emphasis on those accounts with multiple locations matching PCC Network Solutions national objectives and footprint. The ideal Customer operates within a large/campus environment with relatively small day-to-day requirements along with occasional large projects. We want to earn their trust and confidence as their preferred contractor, adding value being a consultative resource, asking the questions so we may make responsible recommendations to improve upon their network infrastructure environment. We want customers for life!
The Sales Executive is responsible for the introduction of any new or added capability of PCC Network Solutions to their existing clientele and prospect base. The Sales Executive is responsible for determining and driving Tier 1 PCC Network Solutions manufacturer’s products into account base, purchased through a Tier 1 distributor. This is one of the most critical and crucial methods of attaining a competitive edge.
Responsible for documenting all prospect/customer activity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Annual review of customer and prospect list to determine which accounts will be kept or dropped going into the next year. Annual review and determination of Sales Revenue quota.
- Responsible for regularly updating HubSpot
- Required participation in a regular networking group. The primary objective is to share information and convert that information into opportunities with end user prospects. The goal is to engage customers as early as possible, building on relationships.
- Once engaged in an Account the Sales Executive is the overall person responsible for the account and any resulting opportunities.
- Analyzes customer's network infrastructure needs and recommends solutions. This is done directly with the customer or in response to a customer document.
- In order to gain a distinct advantage with a new potential Customer(s) and subsequent opportunities, the Sales Executive is required to strategize with other Team members internally. This will include CEO, Project Managers, Systems Engineers, and Estimators. This may also require further engagement with manufacturer and/or distributor partners to gain their support.
- Communicate products specified and distribution strategy with Estimating department. Must communicate who has specific design win criteria, distribution registrations, etc. Must communicate competitive nature of opportunity.
- Reviews deliverables for a customer and ensures that the necessary support functions are in place. Maintains strict adherence to date, times, and other promises. Overall responsible for proposals and other deliverables to be received by the client within the dates and times specified.
- Required to submit monthly expenses reports. No expenses will be reimbursed that is greater than 60 days old.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge in all disciplines of Information Transport System design and implementation preferred, including but not limited to:
- Knowledge of network protocols and topologies.
- Understanding of Network Routers/Servers, Switches, Wireless Access Points and Phone Switches.
- Knowledge of Fiber/OSP cable, placement and splicing, duct bank and vault designs, and basic building construction.
- Minimum three years outside sales, preferably within in the telecommunications industry
- Self-starter
- Highly motivated
- Strong time management skills
- Proficient in customer relationship management
