PROJECT MANAGER sought by Pacific Coast Civil, Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage project lifecycle from initiation to completion, inclusive of budgeting, cost tracing, forecasting, and billing to achieve company financial goals
- Design engineering, including creating grading and drainage plans, sediment erosion control plans, street design, water design, hydrology analysis, and hydraulic analysis
- Internal project coordination of staff resources to achieve project timelines and goals.
- Review of project designs by other employees for constructability
- Administration duties such as billing and improving company processes and procedures.
- Liaise and coordinate with government agencies and city officials on behalf of Pacific Coast Civil Inc. and clients
- Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits and inspections for certifications
- Solve construction issues on site
- Procurement and management of subcontractors.
- Coordinate with survey team to capture appropriate topographical data to complete engineering services
- Supervise lower-level subordinates consisting of CAD technicians, design engineer, and engineering permit processor
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate project management experience, including two (2) years in project engineering or site engineering in civil engineering or the civil construction industry.
Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following:
- Estimating project cost, timeline, and feasibility
- Conducting site visits to resolve construction and design issues, to coordinate daily construction tasks, and for quality assurance
- Interpreting and revising project plans to ensure efficient design and maximum profitability
- Planning and programming projects
- Liaising with government officials to ensure compliance with applicable laws
- Procuring services and managing subcontractors and subordinate employees
- Creating contracts and contract administration
- Meeting with clients and collaborating with designers on design build contracts
- Working with survey field crews to achieve project outcomes
