POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Line 4 Manufacturing Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing a variety of general labor duties in the Line 4 manufacturing area such as cutting and hand stacking brick, and general clean-up within the department. This position supports the Line 4 manufacturing department in all areas of the plant and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Handles brick: load, unload, cut or blend brick as required by specifications and supervisor.
Inspects brick for meeting appropriate quality standards according to specifications.
Prepares any paperwork or data entry required by work area.
Clean on or around grog belt around belts and kiln cars.
Maintains work area according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Complies with current 5S Housekeeping standards and requested protocol.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required, and be able overtime and weekends as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requires on the job training to be able to perform the essential duties.
Basic reading, writing and math skills.
Must be able to speak, read and write to be able to communicate with peers and supervisors effectively.
Ability to follow simple instructions.
Ability to operate equipment required for job performance such as torches, hand banders, wrenches, brick saw, and strapping machine.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required, and be able overtime and weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.
Required to repetitively lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and must be able to walk, stand, lift, twist, bend, and to reach with hands and arms.
