POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, this position supports the California Yard & Delivery in all areas of driving and delivery to the manufacturing operation; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Drives trucks in a safe manner to specified locations to pick up aggregates and/or bulk powder materials and deliver them to the designated manufacturing operation.
- Unloads aggregates and/or bulk powder materials at the manufacturing operation in area specified by plant superintendent or designated supervisor.
- Uses company daily checklist.
- Uses E-log on tablet and worksheets.
- Uses paper log when/if e-logs are down.
- Checks vehicles for safety problems and ensures that fuel and oil levels are sufficient.
- Maintains work area and equipment according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
- Works with the Raw Material scheduler.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Predictable, and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work Sunday-Thursday, graveyard shift.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Three-years’ experience driving a truck with double trailers, both full and empty.
- Possession of a valid California Class A driver’s license, with Double Endorsements, Tanker Endorsements, and a good driving record.
- Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

SALARY RANGE: $29.00/HR
