Pacific Companies is currently seeking a Director of Physician Recruiting to join our growing Permanent Placement division in our Dallas, Texas office. The Director of Physician Recruiting in the Permanent Placement division is responsible for leading recruitment efforts and driving the successful placement of healthcare professionals into permanent positions within hospital systems, private practices, and healthcare organizations nationwide. This role requires a positive, goal-driven, and sales-oriented leader who thrives in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment strategies, managing high-volume outreach, and building strong relationships with clients and internal teams. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Lead recruitment efforts by prospecting, qualifying, and matching healthcare professionals to permanent physician positions within hospital systems, private practices, and other healthcare organizations. Ensure placements align with the specific needs and culture of each client. 
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of potential healthcare professionals for open job requisitions by implementing diverse sourcing strategies, including networking, referrals, direct outreach, and leveraging internal databases. 
  • Evaluate the qualifications, knowledge, and skills of potential physicians, ensuring they meet the client’s specific requirements for each position. Conduct in-depth assessments, interviews, and screenings to ensure strong alignment with job criteria. 
  • Utilize online platforms, social media, job boards, and other resources to proactively source and attract qualified healthcare professionals. Maintain an active presence on platforms such as LinkedIn and healthcare-specific job boards to build a steady pool of talent. 
  • Leverage Bullhorn CRM to track candidate interactions, ensure accurate records, and manage the recruitment lifecycle efficiently, while adhering to organizational standards and compliance requirements. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients by providing consultative guidance, understanding their unique recruitment needs, and offering tailored solutions to ensure successful placements and long-term partnerships. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization, including sales, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination of efforts and alignment on strategic goals. 
  • Lead and mentor the recruitment team, ensuring that recruitment strategies are implemented effectively and driving continuous improvement in recruitment processes. 
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on recruitment progress to senior management, highlighting key metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate pipeline health, and overall placement success rates. 
  • Travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, and represent the company at networking events. Travel may vary depending on business needs and client meetings. 
  • Stay current on market trends and best practices within the locum tenens and healthcare staffing industries to maintain a competitive edge and continuously refine recruitment strategies. 

Work Environment    

  • The role is primarily office-based, with work performed Monday through Friday during regular business hours. The office environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, involving frequent interaction with team members and cross-functional departments. 
  • Minimal travel may be required for client meetings, industry events, or visits to other company offices, depending on business needs. 
  • The position may involve high-pressure situations and tight deadlines, requiring strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic setting. 
  • Frequent in-person and digital communication is essential, including phone calls, emails, and meetings to manage recruitment activities, client interactions, and team collaboration. 
  • The role supports a team-oriented culture, with active participation in team meetings, strategy sessions, and collaborative projects, contributing to the overall goals of the division. 
  • Adaptability and the ability to manage shifting priorities are necessary to handle the demands of a fast-paced recruitment environment. 
  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage recruitment pipelines, track progress, and meet individual and team performance targets.

Qualifications


Qualifications 

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required; Bachelor’s degree, preferred.  
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience recruiting permanent doctors in an agency setting is required, with a proven track record of successfully placing physicians in healthcare roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to placement, while achieving or exceeding performance targets. 
  • Previous experience in healthcare recruitment is essential, with an in-depth understanding of the physician placement process, including market demands, physician specialties, and client expectations. 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage objections, handle resistance, and close placement deals effectively. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with both clients and healthcare professionals, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business. 
  • Proficiency in using Bullhorn CRM or similar recruitment management systems is preferred. Experience managing candidate pipelines, maintaining accurate records, and tracking performance metrics is essential for success. 
  • Competency with online sourcing tools, including job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn) to build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates. 
  • A goal-driven and results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. 
  • A strong understanding of market trends and industry best practices in physician recruitment and healthcare staffing, ensuring the ability to adapt strategies to meet evolving client needs. 
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences to build relationships and expand business opportunities. 
  • Strong proficiency in the English language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with healthcare professionals and clients is critical to success in this role.
