Pacific Companies is currently seeking a Senior Physician Recruiter to join our growing Locum-Tenens team in our Dallas, Texas office. The Senior Physician Recruiter in the Locum-Tenens division is responsible for leading efforts to source, recruit, and place locum tenens physicians with healthcare facilities across the country. This role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from prospecting and screening candidates to negotiating offers and facilitating placements. The Senior Recruiter is expected to leverage their extensive experience in locum tenens recruitment, maintaining strong relationships with both physicians and clients, while meeting or exceeding placement goals. This individual will actively contribute to the success of the division by utilizing their sales-oriented approach, persistence in managing resistance, and exceptional communication skills. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Prospect, qualify, and match physician candidates to locum tenens positions within hospital systems, private practices, and healthcare facilities across the country. This includes understanding client needs and ensuring candidates are aligned with the specific requirements of each position, such as specialty, experience, and availability. 
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of potential candidates by consistently sourcing and screening physicians for current and future job requisitions. Utilize proactive recruitment techniques to ensure a continuous flow of qualified candidates ready for placement. 
  • Evaluate candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit by conducting thorough interviews and assessments. Compare each candidate’s skills, certifications, and background against client requirements, ensuring a strong match between physician and opportunity. 
  • Leverage online platforms, social media, job boards, and professional networks to build and maintain a robust candidate pool for open job requisitions. This includes sourcing candidates from industry-specific platforms while actively engaging with both active and passive candidates. 
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with physicians and clients, ensuring clear communication and a high level of trust throughout the recruitment process. Act as a strategic partner to both parties, understanding their needs and expectations to facilitate successful placements. 
  • Manage the recruitment process from end-to-end, including identifying prospects, conducting interviews, presenting candidates to clients, negotiating offers, and overseeing contract execution. Ensure all recruitment activities are aligned with company policies and client preferences. 
  • Stay current on industry trends and locum tenens market developments to provide strategic insights and advice to both physicians and clients. This includes keeping abreast of changes in physician supply and demand, compensation trends, and healthcare regulations. 
  • Utilize data-driven recruitment strategies by tracking key performance metrics such as candidate pipeline size, placement ratios, and time-to-fill to optimize the recruiting process and meet placement targets. 
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on goals and the successful onboarding of candidates, contributing to the overall success and growth of the Locum-Tenens division. 

Work Environment  

  • The role is primarily office-based, Monday through Friday.  
  • Occasional travel may be required to meet with clients, attend industry events, or visit other company offices.  
  • Communication with clients, candidates, and the team will primarily occur through virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and email. 
  • Flexibility is needed to accommodate varying time zones for client and candidate calls. 
  • Strong self-discipline and time management are essential to meet performance goals and handle high-volume recruitment activities. 
  • The recruiter will have ongoing access to virtual team meetings, mentorship, and professional development resources. 
  • Success in the role will be measured through key performance metrics, including placements, pipeline management, and call volume, tracked via CRM (Bullhorn). 
  • The position may involve high-pressure situations and tight deadlines, requiring strong time management and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Qualifications


Qualifications 

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required; Bachelor’s degree, preferred. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience recruiting locum tenens physicians in an agency setting. 
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed recruitment goals in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong understanding of physician specialties, healthcare industry trends, and locum tenens placement processes. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both physicians and clients over the phone and in-person. 
  • Sales-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to manage objections and navigate complex negotiations. 
  • Experience using a CRM system, with proficiency in Bullhorn strongly preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple searches simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the success of the Locum-Tenens division.

  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team setting. 
  • Proficient in English, with attention to detail and compliance with industry standards.
