Neurology Physician

Work Schedule:

• 1-3 weeks per month
• Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Call Volume:

• Very low call volume - possibility of zero calls and zero consults
• Weekday call Monday to Friday 1 weekend per month
• NP taking primary call. 24 hours to respond to hospital consults.
• Clinic call ends at 8pm on weekdays. Weekends are 24 hour call for stat consults.

Patient Load:

• Average 20 patients per day

Scope of Practice:

• General Neurology with an inpatient rounding component
• EEG, EMG and Nerve Conduction Study abilities preferred

Technology:

• EPIC EMR

Hospital Setting:

• Level 3 trauma center

Support Staff:

• 1 NP
• 1 Clinical support staff per provider (currently 1 LPN and 1 MA for 2 providers)
• 1.5 Patient access (non-clinical) staff

Requirements:

• Board certified or board eligible
• Active Louisiana or compact license
