Full Scope OBGYN Clinic and Call Opportunity in Oregon
- Location: Astoria, Oregon
- Duration: 9 months per year
- Shifts: 2 weeks of clinic and call shifts per month
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5pm, with 24 hour call coverage from 7am to 7am
- Scope: Full scope OBGYN inpatient and outpatient care
Clinic Procedures:
- OB care and GYN consults
- IUD and Nexplanon placements and removals
- Colposcopies, LEEP procedures, and endometrial biopsies (EMBs)
- Vulvar biopsies
Surgical Procedures:
- Dilation and curettage (D&C) procedures
- Hysterectomies and C-sections
- Salpingectomy and hysteroscopy procedures
- Obstetric versions
Patient Volume:
- 8-15 patients per day
- 15-25 deliveries per month
Transfer Policy:
- No vaginal births after cesarean (VBACs) allowed
- No robotic surgery
- No deliveries before 35 weeks gestation, transfers to Portland or Longview if necessary
Medical Support:
- 24 hour pediatric emergency department (PED) call coverage
- Certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) for surgical support
- General surgeons for backup assistance
Requirements:
- Board certification (BC) or board eligibility (BE)
- Oregon medical license and DEA registration
This is a full scope OBGYN opportunity with a mix of clinic and call shifts in a Critical Access hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment and be comfortable with the volume and variety of cases.
