Title: Project Engineer

Location: Stockton, CA
Description/Roles:
The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager and Superintendent maintain the schedule, budget, and safety from contracts to closeout. Below is a list of the primary roles and responsibilities of the Project Engineer.
· Bidding/Pre-Construction
o Assist with distributing invitations and documents to bid
o Perform follow-up correspondences and collect bids
o Plan review and scope development
o Organization and qualification of bids
o Assist with proposal and budget development
o Assist with design process
o Obtain construction permits and associated documentation
· Project Management
o Liaison between architect/owner, sub-contractors, superintendent, and project manager
o Assist with safety protocols
o Project creation in Procore
o Organization and review of project documents and plans
o Oversee submittal requests, reviews, submissions, and distribution
o Oversee requests for information
o Entering change events and retrieving appropriate documentation
o Record meeting minutes and assist with developing meeting agendas
o Collect and organize closeout documents
· Practices professional etiquette with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
· Prioritizes effectively, adheres to deadlines, and seeks additional duties when assignments completed.
· Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Any combination of education, experience, and drive that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the required duties.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage stressful situations.
· Capable of working in teams and as an individual.
· Ability to effectively lead and direct colleagues, yet still accept direction.
· Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
· Ability to time manage and work on multiple projects.
· Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
· Ability to read blueprint drawings
· Construction project management software knowledge preferred (specifically, Procore and Bluebeam)
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the construction industry working in project management
