What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator/Warehouse position at Pacific Crest Building Supply?
Position Summary
Warehouse Assistant is responsible for managing all incoming materials, material pickup management, and general warehouse work.
Essential Duties include (but are not limited to)
· Maintaining records of any work and inspections done on-premises
· Performing inventory on supplies
· Assembling, making and/or installing new furniture or equipment
· Ensuring all safety systems are functioning properly, including smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
· Performing general maintenance tasks for the building, such as dry wall repair and painting
· Responding to and completing supervisor maintenance requests.
· Custodial Duties as requested by management.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
· Comply with and enforce all Company, OSHA, and WISHA safety standards.
· Shop supply pickup
· Hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal
· Waste control
· Safety inspections on fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and emergency exits.
· Keeping warehouse/office sanitized and clear of any hazards
Qualifications
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of maintenance products, materials, and equipment.
- Forklift Certification
- Wood species knowledge - a plus
- Drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle feedback, both positive and negative
Job Type: Full-time
