Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union is hiring for a Loan Processor/Collateral Specialist in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Fulfills role as a member of the Pacific Crest Consumer Lending Team and provides a great member experience that advances the mission, vision and values of the organization. Builds and maintains successful member relationships through accurate and timely completion and delivery of new account and funding packages with the duties of a consumer loan processor. This position will take the lead role in handling collateral insurance, and working with the Collateral Administrator to perform collateral and DMV duties. Provides post-closing service of loans while ensuring all supporting documentation and records are accurately prepared, completed and filed according to PCFCU policies.

Essential Job Functions:
- Collects information and documentation needed to fund a loan or complete a new membership account. Processes approved loans and schedules for closing and disbursement with extreme accuracy with the use of mail, in person, fax or electronic delivery of documents.
- Actively seeks opportunities to increase loan volume and enhance member relationships by cross- selling credit union services to members.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of consumer lending products, services and processes as well as demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations.
- Collects all DMV documentation accurately for submission to the Collateral Administrator to ensure credit union lien is satisfied.
- Manages Collateral Insurance programs for Pacific Crest.
- Acts as a back up to the Collateral Administrator for collateral and DMV duties.
- Perform loan checkback to ensure all loan documents are recorded accurately.
- Answers inbound lending phone calls, and DMV/Insurance related inquiries through all communication channels.
- Take ownership of personal development by leveraging monthly coaching and participating in continuing education.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years of financial services or related experience preferred
- A cooperative, positive attitude toward members and fellow employees using sound interpersonal skill
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Proven attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
- Excellent technical skills
- Self-Motivated to learn and grow within the position
SPECIAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) is necessary.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Stooping; kneeling; crouching; and reaching below, at, and over shoulder level required.
- Sitting – 80%; standing and walking - 20%.
- Hearing, visual, and verbal ability required.
