The Job
The Sales Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team by providing comprehensive support and assistance to our sales managers. This role focuses on managing a workflow of design & proposal projects from the sales management team, assisting with customer inquiries, and collaborating closely with sales, field specialists, procurement, and project management teams to work on special projects, as needed. They take a hands-on approach to help craft meaningful proposal and design deliverables.
This position has a salary range of $74,000 - $82,000. This is in in-office position based out of our Downtown Vancouver office.
The Duties
Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Architecture, Design, or Marketing preferred. Experience in sales or sales support is a plus.

A valid, insurable driver's license is required.

- Review audit notes and verify that all information in audits is clear, concise, and includes all necessary customer information, including transcribing notes and gathering additional information.
- Maintain consistent communication with Sales Engineers, Sales Managers, and Field Specialists.
- Build relationships internally with our Sales Team to understand their specific needs.
- Understand technical lighting / architectural documents.
- Meet deadlines for projects that you are assigned by Sales Support Specialist.
- Design industrial / commercial / retail lighting photometrics, customer deliverables, and proposals for level 1&2 projects for our sales team to increase their time efficiency.
- Create EV charging installation maps for our EV team when needed.
- Coordinate with freelance workforce to submit Lighting Design Requests when needed.
- Serve as a central point of contact for Sales team members as determined by the Senior Sales Support Specialist and Sales Directors.
- Ensure timely responses to client inquiries and requests as delegated to you by leadership as needed.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency in Sales Support workflow.
- Facilitate communication between Sales team members, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
- Schedule and organize meetings with sales managers to review completed and in-progress assignments.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate smooth sales processes.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills / strong emphasis on build lasting relationships internally with our sales team and customers.
- Experience with CAD software like Sketchup, AutoCAD, CADDirect, or AGI32 is a plus.
- Analytical abilities / able to pay attention to details when reading technical lighting and architectural documents
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
